SPORTS MEDICINE PHYSICIAN

Dr. Rodriguez completed his Sports Medicine fellowship at Case Western Reserve University, University Hospitals Sports Medicine Institute in Cleveland, Ohio, and has extensive training in point-of-care ultrasound guided procedures. He completed residency in Family Medicine at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center where he served as Chief Resident and is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine in Family Medicine and Sports Medicine.

During fellowship, Dr. Rodriguez cared for high school and collegiate level athletes in all three NCAA divisions, including Case Western Reserve University (Division III), Lake Erie College (Division II), and Kent State University (Division I) across all sports. Dr. Rodriguez also helped care for the Cleveland Monsters (AHL affiliate of the NHL Columbus Blue Jackets), under the direction of Dr. Benjamin Boswell, and the NFL Cleveland Browns, under the direction of Dr. Sean Cupp. Dr. Rodriguez also provided medical coverage for the Cleveland Marathon and Triathlon.

Dr. Rodriguez holds several licenses and certifications, including Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED), all from the American Heart Association. He is also a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
