Dr. Casey M. Pierce is a board-certified Orthopedic Surgeon, fellowship-trained in sports medicine and arthroscopy. Dr. Pierce specializes in the treatment of shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee disorders, offering the most advanced arthroscopic and reconstructive techniques. With an unwavering commitment to patient care, he tailors treatments to accelerate recovery times for both adults and pediatric patients, athletes and non-athletes alike.

Dr. Pierce offers the latest medical technologies for various conditions, maximizing the potential for recovery and healing. He is also uniquely certified to perform robotic-assisted hip and knee joint replacements utilizing the Mako™ robot. Dr. Pierce takes great pride in managing injuries non-operatively whenever possible, emphasizing personalized care for every individual.

Completing his residency in orthopedic surgery at Seton Hall University/St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, Dr. Pierce distinguished himself as Chief Resident, exhibiting exceptional leadership and dedication to his craft. His journey to surgical excellence took him to the prestigious American Sports Medicine Institute (ASMI) in Birmingham, Alabama, where he completed a specialized fellowship. During his time at ASMI, Dr. Pierce had the privilege of refining his surgical techniques under the mentorship of luminaries in the field, including the renowned Dr. James Andrews, Dr. E. Lyle Cain, Dr. Jeffrey Dugas, and Dr. Benton Emblom. With a focus on precision and innovation, he gained extensive expertise in surgically treating cartilage defects, ruptured tendons, and ligament disorders of the shoulder, elbow, and knee. Dr. Pierce’s dedication to achieving surgical mastery led him to additional specialized training in hip and pelvis injuries, as well as hip arthroscopy and sports hernia surgery.

During his tenure in Alabama, Dr. Pierce’s commitment to exceptional care extended to caring for three football teams (the University of Alabama, Samford University and Shades Valley High School), the Birmingham Barons (Chicago White Sox AA affiliate), the WWE and the Birmingham Ballet.

Driven by a passion for improving lives and an affinity for the North Jersey community, Dr. Pierce returned to New Jersey in 2018 to begin private practice. He takes great pride in being the head team physician for both Montclair State University and the Sussex Miners Professional Baseball team. Additionally, Dr. Pierce extends his compassionate care to over 16 local area high school teams in the surrounding community.
